If you are looking for staycation ideas around the DMV, for you and your girlfriends or couples weekend Getaway, check out Ritz Tyson Corner. I had the pleasure of being invited to spend the weekend at Ritz Carlton and it was awesome. The customer service from the valet staff, front desk to restaurant staff, everything was beyond amazing. We stayed in one of their presidential suites which was breathtaking and spacious. If you follow me on Instagram, you caught a tour of the suite on my Instagram stories and you can still check it on my IG highlights titled “Ritz Carlton”. After a rough year, it is worth treating yourself to a relaxing and fun time. When this opportunity came up, I was eager to get away. Hey, this mama needs some time away and some fun without guilt. This was my second time staying at Ritz Carlton and the experience has remained the same which is amazing. For a fashion lover like myself, I love the the Tyson Gallery mall is attached to the hotel. All i had to do was walk to the first floor of the hotel and walk into the mall. At the mall you will find different luxury shops from Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Neiman Marcus to name a few. I stopped by Chanel boutique and Neiman Marcus for a brief window shopping before checking out for the weekend. So, if you are looking for where to stay and have all the fun amenities around you, check out Ritz Carlton Tyson Corner for the perfect weekend getaway in Virginia to book now…you will thank me later. 😉
We arrived on Friday and checked out on Sunday. On Saturday we were picked up to visit the RdV Vineyard which is about an hour and few minutes from the hotel. Upon arriving at the winery, we were greeted by their amazing staff. The vineyard is beautiful and serene. The visit started with a tour of the winery. I learnt so much about the wine process and got to see their production process which was phenomenal. After the tour, we chose an outdoor sitting which came with complimentary wines to taste and charcuterie board. We spent about an hour at the vineyard before returning to our hotel. While at the hotel, for breakfast, we order room service which was the fastest room service I have ever experienced. The food was great and on time. My favorite item from the breakfast menu was the pecan french toast. I could eat that everyday without getting tired LOL. For lunch and dinner, we ate at the ENTYSE Wine Bar and Lounge. Again, amazing food and staff. We enjoyed the live music. It was relaxing and fun. The overall experience was awesome!

RdV Vineyard: My First Winery Experience
I had a wonderful day visiting RdV Vineyards with Ritz Carlton Tyson Corner hotel’s RdV Experience package. The environment was relaxed and welcoming. Prior to the wine tasting, we has a tour of the vineyard. The wine tasting experience includes a glass of Dom Perignon and a tasting of their Rendezvous ’16 and flagship Lost Mountain ’17, as well as a nice selection of charcuterie. The tours are by appointment only and there’s sitting indoors and outdoors. We choose to sit outdoors.
