These hot
summer days have me thinking about the snacks and fun activities to do with the
kids (Nolan and Anu-Gabriella). It is great having friends who live nearby with
a daughter of Nolan’s age. My friend Victoria and I often share ideas on kids’
school activities, food and snack ideas while planning late night play dates,
which we call our “happy hour”. With the constant rise in temperature this
summer, our go-to ‘snack coolers’ are popsicles, smoothies and froyos. Today, I
will be sharing our Popsicle and smoothie recipe – a great way to stay cool,
healthy and the kids love it! We made strawberry and peach smoothie using
almond vanilla milk. For the Popsicle, we used strawberries, peaches and
honeydew.
Ingredient:
·Strawberry
·Peach
·Almond
milk
·Honeydew
·Ice cube
Directions:
Smoothie
·Wash and
cut fruits
·Blend the
strawberries and peaches with almond milk and ice cubes
Popsicle:
·Blend all
fruits separately and pour into containers (strawberries, honey dew, peach)
·Add the
blended strawberries to popsicle mold and freeze for 30mins-1hr
·Add the
blended peach and also freeze for 30mins
·Add to
final fruit, honey dew and freeze 2-3hrs Once completely frozen, let it sit out
for a couple of minutes to defrost
