Have you noticed a lot of pleated skirts being worn lately for spring? In case you have or have not, let me fill you in, pleated skirts will be one of the most popular skirt trends for spring this year. Here is why, pleated skirts are one of those clothing items that can be worn for different occasions, perfect for different body types and can be worn all year round from cold winter seasons to warmer spring seasons. Outside of pencil skirts, pleated skirts have always been one of my go-to pieces for work. It is chic and versatile. I previously did a post on how to wear a pleated skirt for work and that’s a great example on how to style pleated skirts during warmer spring season. Over the years, I have worn and styled so many pleated skirts including pastel pleats and printed pleats in different ways. As the weather is still transitioning from winter to spring, today’s look is a great way to wear your pleated skirt now.

Not only is pleated skirt on trend for spring, pleats in general are spring must-have. Pleats including pleated dresses, tops and skirts are must-haves. For today’s post, it is all about pleated skirts and how you can wear it through the spring transition. In today’s look with pleated skirt, I paired it with this chunky knit top. As the weather is still on and off, cold and warm in Mayland, sweaters and jackets are still needed. To stay warm while styling my pleated skirt, I paired it with a chunky sweater. For this look, I took a monochromatic route by pairing the green pleated skirt with green sweater but in a slightly different color tone. I love styling monochromatic look but in different color tones. To blend both color tones together, I added black accessories. Now to complete the look for cold spring day, I paired my pleated skirt with knee-high boots during this spring transitional phase.
