Tips On How To Combine Prints
Match the same print in different colors: Today’s look is an example of how to combine the same prints in different colors. Another example is how to match the same print in different colors in this check blue and red outfit that I wore a few summer ago.
Match colors rather than prints: It is easy to get caught up in the prints that you are mixing, so it is better to pay attention to the colors of both prints rather than the actual print. Find the common base color on both prints to help you choose the right prints to combine. Remember, when it comes to mixing prints, think about the colors of both prints and match your outfit based on the colors. Here is an example mixing prints of the same colors here.
Match your print with stripes: For me, I consider stripes as a neutral base. They go perfectly with almost any print. When in doubt on how to combine prints, pair your print with a stripe top or bottom like I did here.
Match different print sizes: Add structure and uniques to your look by combining different size prints.
Play with proportions: Match bolder prints with more subtle graphic prints for a statement
