This year has been filled so many great opportunities and lessons. I am internally grateful for the amazing support from you all, the awesome brands/PRs that I got to work with this years and my beautiful family and friends. Some of the things that I learnt this year is that with hard work, persistent and God favor, there is nothing you can't achieve. Also, that I truly have a great support system from family, friends and you guys.

When I started this blog, I never imagined how many people that I will get to influence and influence me. The support I have received from my readers from day one and most especially this year has been beyond my imagination. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!

Always remember, no matter the bullet life throws at you, you can persevere. All I can say is that I am grateful for all my blessings so far and I am excited to see the amazing things 2018 brings.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday to you and yours! Hope you are having a wonderful time with family and love ones. We spent the early part of our Christmas day opening gifts. Well, Nolan was the first one to wake up in anticipation for what Santa delivered. He was super excited to see that Santa ate the cookies and milk he left for him. As I am typing this, he is still overwhelmed by his gifts...let's say, santa did a great job with delivering more Paw Patrols.  We will be heading to church for Christmas service and then off to spend time with family.

Have a lovely day and Merry Christmas!

LynksDriver tee: here, more tees here
Marc Fisher booties: here, more here
Jacket: On sale $29 here, similar here
Earrings: here
Ray ban sunglasses: here, similar here

Can you believe it's only two days before Christmas?! I love the excitement building up to Christmas Day. I am looking forward to a relaxing and fun holiday with my family. On the other hand, I still have a few last minute gifts to purchase. If you are like me, check out my holiday gift guide for last minute shopping ideas.

Today's look is an easy weekend style. Weekends for me are typical jeans and tee paired with a blazer or jacket. I always look for different fun ways to style my weekend jeans look. I paired today's look with my patent ankle boots for comfort. The style of the boots adds an edge to the look. For me, ankle boots come in handy during cold season and that's why I have different ways to wear them (previous mentioned here). To achieve an easy weekend look, simply pair your best jeans with a graphic tee, a leather jacket or colored/print coat with statement accessories. For me, this will be my look for this weekend while I run errands and complete my holiday shopping.

P.S. You can follow me on Instagram Story for all behind the scenes holiday fun.

Happy Holiday and Merry (almost) Christmas!

Often times, a lot of people including myself tend to shy away from maxi dresses during the holiday season because of the need to wear holiday bright colors. Honestly, you can't go wrong in wearing a black dress for most occasion including the holiday season. Every girl needs that black dress that is perfect for many occasions such as black tie event, weddings and holiday events. This off shoulder black dresses is perfect for a formal event this holiday and beyond. It is simple, classy , easy to accessorize and wouldn't break a budget.

Holiday Glam In Sequins

sequin palazzo pants,
What I Am Wearing:
Sequin pants: here, similar here, here and here
Top: here, budget friendly here/here
Earrings: here, more here
Kate Spade coat: c/o on sale here, try this here, more here

Beside plaid prints, sequins sets a holiday spirit...who doesn't want to sparkle and shine this holiday party?! This palazzo sequin pants is a must-have for the holiday season. The wide leg, side pockets and comfortable waist band are some of the things that made me fall in love with it. Instantly, I thought of creating a glam look for the holiday. Creating a holiday glam look in sequins is very simply. Pick a sequin pants or leggings, add a black blouse or cami top -- preferably a silk or velvet for a glam appeal. I choose to pair it with a lace cami top for a feminine feel. I completed the look with a tweed jacket (previously worn here) and classic black pumps. You can't go wrong with an all black look. The different textures adds uniqueness to the overall look. This look is ideal for a work holiday event.

Our Family Holiday Tradition

What I Am Wearing:
Me: Polka dot PJs, similar here/here, gold slippers
Nolan: Plaid Pajamas, Janie and Jack slippers

Nothing like a cozy pajamas during the holiday season. I am a big fan of fun, Christmas colored pajamas and cute holiday themed mugs filled with hot chocolate for hoilday evenings with the family. Since Nolan was born, we started matching and coordinating pajamas as our family holiday tradition. We wear our matching pjs for Christmas eve and  holiday season. There is something about the fun holiday prints, colors, and uniformity of the pjs that creates a warm family atmosphere. Nothing beats a cozy jammies, while watching all our favorite holiday movies on Christmas Eve. One of my favorite movies to watch during the holiday is Home Alone. What is your favorite holiday movie and do you have any holiday tradition?

The holiday season is not completed without some plaid. Yes, I'm mad for plaid! Plaid is a festive print for holiday and it adds a preppy feel to a look. Every holiday season, I always incorporate plaid prints  into my holiday looks. Last holiday season, I layered a plaid top with button-down shirt for work. This year, this  plaid blazer is no exception. I love the fitted and tailored look. This look makes for a great formal work event.

Slip dresses has become one of my go-to holiday looks this season. It's comfortable, feminine and stylish without doing too much. During the warmer days, I have worn my slip dresses styled alone or layered with a tee shirt.  Now that it's cold, I still want to incorporate it into the season.

Have you ever wondered if you can wear your slip dresses in fall and winter? Well, yes you can! Slip dresses are not only for summer day. There are so many cool ways to wear slip dresses this fall and winter including with a duster coat as previous worn here. For me, layering my rust colored slip dress makes for a stylish way to show up to a holiday party.

Here are 5 ways to style slip dresses this fall and winter:
  1. Layer the slip dress over a turtleneck or cozy sweaters.
  2. Pair it with jeans or pants; for warmth, add a leather jacket, blazer or knit.
  3. Add an oversized sweater on top the slip dress paired with ankle boots or thigh-high/OTK boots for a casual feminine twist.
  4. Layer with a boyfriend shirt - this will add a classic staple to the look.
  5. Balance out the slip dress with a long coat, puffer coat or dusters.

You can't go wrong with black and white combination. There are so many ways to wear black and white styles and for different occassions. Today's look is the untraditional work style. I wore a classic black pencil skirt with a crop top, which is different from your button down shirt for work. This black and white look is different in term of the crop top and the exaggerated sleeve style of the crop top. I completed the look with a classic black pumps for the first look. For a different take on the black and white combo, I paired it with ankle sock boots, which is great for fall.

Big Little Gift: Something Unforgettable

Pearl necklace & Diamond Fashion Ring here
Dress: hereDuster: here; Shoes: here

I am always looking forward to the holiday. It’s an exciting moment filled with gifts and surprises. I love getting to wrap up gifts... it's a fun process of the holiday for me.  Checklist is a must for me. With my checklist on hand,  I make sure everyone on my list is checked off. Since I finally have hubby, Nolan, Mom and Dad crossed off from my list, it’s time to treat myself to something special.

It has been a year to remember. What better gift to give myself than something memorable, classy, something elegant and this pearl necklace. A symbolic gift that captures my journey through the year. It is beautiful! It’s definitely a piece that I can wear for years. It has a special place in my heart. They say little gifts have the biggest impact and for that reason, I choose the ultimate big little gift, the diamond fashion ring to compliment my necklace. Every girl needs a little sparkle for the holiday and this adds a sparkle to my holiday. With my pearl necklace and ring, I am ready to celebrate the holiday with my family and friends.

My Shopping Experience At Westfield Mall

Holiday shopping at Westfield mall,

Officially counting down to Christmas! With only few days left before Christmas, I still have a ton of shopping to complete. When it comes to holiday shopping, I always make a holiday gift checklist to make sure I don't leave anyone out.

Kicking off my holiday shopping, I spend a day at Westfield Wheaton Mall in Maryland with hubby and Nolan. It was a day filled with shopping, eating and great family time. Nolan finally got to meet Santa and now he is eagerly awaiting Santa's gifts and his list includes more Paw Patrol and PJ Mask! He was ecstatic once I told him about meeting Santa; but when he finally saw Santa, you could see the mixed excitement and nervous emotions.

After a day of shopping at some of my favorites stores such as H&M and Express, I couldn't wait to eat at one of our favorite restaurants Nandos.  If you follow me on Instagram, you probably know how much I love Nandos and the Peri Peri Chicken...a must try!

My holiday shopping experience at Westfield was amazing. I got a lot of my shopping done. I truly love that they have different stores and activities that cater to everyone. It's definitely a one stop shop for everything from shopping, AMC theater, Starbuck (I needed my caramel Macchiato before shopping) and LA Fitness.

P.S. Check out my Westfield Wheaton Instagram Story for behind the scenes at my shopping experience. Also, I am giving away two $25 gift cards to shop at Westfield Mall on my Instagram.

Pants: here, try this here, more here
Sweater: similar hereherehere, more here/here

Hope you all had a fabulous Thanksgiving holiday and weekend. Now, it's countdown to Christmas holiday. With the holiday spirit in the air and so many upcoming events, the question is usually what to wear?! For me, holiday work event style should be classy and fun. Rather than the usual work colored pants such as black, navy or grey, go for a fun colored pants with unique details or print. This tailored burgundy pants with red side stripes is different and the red color adds an element of holiday spirit. To complement the red side stripe details, I paired it with a red sweater. I completed the look with a beige pumps and bold earrings.

P.S. Don't forget to check all the Cyber Monday sales going on today. I have listed all the sales and codes in this post to make it easier.

casual look for the holiday,
What I Am Wearing
Topshop coat: here, similar here, more here / here
Jeans: here, more affordable pair here or here
Shirt: here
Bag: here

Today's casual look will get you through the holiday weekend and Black Friday shopping frenzy. For a casual look for thanksgiving and shopping, I will suggest a pair of skinny jeans with pumps for dinner and switch to flats to shop. For me comfort is key when it come to holiday dinner with family and that's why I also suggested this stirrup plaid leggings in my previous post here as a great Thanksgiving holiday look.

Talking about shopping, a lot of pre-thanksgiving/early black Friday sales has started including designers sales at Net-a-porter, Moda Operandi, Barneys, Neiman Marcus and many more. I am currently eyeing this metallic gold sandals for the holiday. I am still deciding whether to grab this Gala pointy toe flats -- I currently have it in red (seen here). I recently picked up this Marni Mary Jane sandals.

P.S. Check out of my picks from all the designers sales here.
