blacknyc jeans, cmeo cropped top, boyfriend jeans,

What I Am Wearing:
Jeans (here, more here & here) // Top (here) // Shirt (similar here or here & here) // Heels ( similar here, budget friendly here & here) // NARS lipstick in "Bette" (here) // Earrings (here) // Bauble Bar bracelet (c/o here)

In addition to mixing prints, I enjoy layering pieces of clothing together and the cold season affords me that opportunity. I am able to layer pieces I would typically wear during the spring or summer and a “button down shirt” always comes in handy. A button down shirt with a dress or cropped top or with a bustier like this Cmeo making waves pair looks great when layered.

For a casual post, I layered the bustier with a button down shirt and a pair of jeans. I tried on flats and heels to show different options. The flats become useful when running errands and the heels makes for a perfect date night.

Bundled Up

Winter look, stole, statement coats,
What I Am Wearing:
Pants (here, similar here & here) // Grey tee (similar here, here & here) // Zara coat (old, try this here & here) // Stole (here, similar here, budget friendly herehere) //  Christian Louboutin (here, budget friendly here &here) // NARS lipstick in "Bette" (here) // Earrings (here) // Bauble Bar bracelet (c/o here)

Happy Tuesday! We are still recovering from the snow blizzard. Hope everyone is bundled up, warm and safe. As much as I don't like the cold temps, I love great coats and accessories that not only keeps me warm, but also stylish. Stole scarves are great way to stay warm, but also add color and uniqueness to winter looks. For me, this bright stole added color to my monochrome look.

Cutout Jumpsuit

roksanda Cutout color-block crepe jumpsuit,
What I Am Wearing:
Roksanda jumpsuit (on sale here, white version here, ) // Christian Louboutin (here, budget friendly here &here) // Zara coat (old, try this here & here

Happy Monday! Hope everyone that experienced the snow blizzard over the weekend is staying warm and safe. We had no choice but to stay indoors all weekend and hopefully, we will return to normalcy as we dig out of the snow. The inches of snow we had rivals Nolan’s height; definitely a winter wonderland on the East Coast.

I took the pictures on this post when the weather was great and beautiful. I had this Roksanda jumpsuit  on my lust list for a very long time and I was lucky to buy it at a whopping 80% discount during a sale at "TheOutnet". I love jumpsuits and the one on this post with the pink accent will make a great Valentine's Day look. In case you are into jumpsuits and searching for fun playsuits for the spring or an upcoming vacation, check out my favorites below.

On The Go...

on the go casual look,
What I Am Wearing:
Jeans (sold out from Zara, try this here, love this here) // Shirt (here, also love this here) // Coat (old, similar here, here & here) // Shoes (here, or here, love this here & here) // bag (here, try this budget friendly here)

There are days when I have to run errands or take my two year old to the park for some fun activities and on such days, wearing heels is impractical. My “on-the-go style” for days like that includes oxfords, loafers or brogues with a pair of jeans

Wide Flare

wide flare pants, red coat,
What I Am Wearing:
Zara pants (sold out, similar here, here & here) // Shirt (try this here here or here) // coat (old, try this here & here) // Choker (old, try this here, here & here) // OPI "Vision of Love" nail polish (here)  // Lipstick MAC "Sin" (here) // Christian Louboutin (here, budget friendly here less than $50 & here)

It is so cold here in Maryland and there are predictions of colder days ahead and possibly, a snow storm this weekend. Memories of my days living in Minnesota keeps coming back and I guess it is time to bundle up in chunky sweaters and coats.

My love for flare pants was evident in several posts last year for example, as seen here. The one on this post is slightly different with an exaggerated wide flare and the fit is amazing. It may be sold out, but this denim pair is equally nice. I paired it with a white boyfriend shirt and for an edgy to the look, I added a gold choker and a red coat for a pop of color.

Snow White

Aqaq cape dress, white dress,

What I Am Wearing:
AQAQ dress (here, more aqaq options here & here, here, ) // Heels (here, similar here & here) // OPI "Vision of Love" nail polish (here)  // Lipstick MAC "Sin" (here)

I have always been a fan of Aqaq designs dating back to when it was called aqua by aqua and I still love their unique pieces. I found this cape dress during a yearly sale last year and I love the simplicity which showcases a different perspective to a white dress. I put on a burgundy lipstick to keep the overall look simple. The outfit can be paired with a statement collar necklace and it will look great.

Art Decor

We are currently working on transitioning Nolan’s room into a toddler’s room and I have been searching for art pieces to complement the color and theme. When I came across Minted, I was excited at the variety they offered. Minted is an online marketplace that connects people with independent artists from all over the world. They source their awesome pieces through on-going art competitions.

From so many options, I selected an alphabet art, numbered art and a giraffe art d├ęcor. Nolan is at that stage where he recites his alphabets and numbers so any fun art that enhances learning is a winner.

Daily Beauty Regime

daily beauty regime,

Today, I will be sharing some of my favorite beauty tips and products. I have come to appreciate the fact that a healthy lifestyle affects a healthy skin. What I eat often reflects on my skin and I drink water a lot as it keeps my skin hydrated. I tend to use few products on my skin and I am always on the lookout for newer ones.

My friend Nicole of "The Nicole Code" who is into beauty products introduced me to a skin regime process that I will be trying out in combination with mine. These are some of my beauty items:

Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser (for normal to oily skin): I discovered this product about five years ago and it is amazing. It leaves my face feeling smooth and soft. I also love that it doesn't dry out my face and the price is great.

Dermalogica Multi-Active Toner: This is a facial spritz I started using 3 months ago and it allows my skin absorb moisturizers better. I spray it twice a day and it hydrates my face and preps my skin for proper moisture absorption.

Hydraluron: This is a moisturizing serum that helps keep my skin hydrated; I started using this product late last year. It makes my skin glow, feel hydrated, plumped and smooth and it is very beneficial during the winter months to avoid skin dryness.

Dr. Dennis Gross Ferulic Retinol Serum: This is another addition to my beauty products. I apply drops under my eyes and over my eye lids to make them less puffy after late nights.

Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer with SPF 15: This product is much thicker than the Neutrogena moisturizer and it works great for me during this winter season. It is a great moisturizer.

Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisturizer with SPF 15: I use this product interchangeably with the Cetaphil moisturizer. I have been using it for years...thanks to my mom for the random drug store beauty discovery. It feels light and keeps my face moisturized throughout the day. The SPF 15 is a plus for sun protection.

Neutrogena Naturals Multi-Vitamin Cream: I use this product at night for a soft, radiant and moisturized skin. Since I have a normal to oily skin, it keeps my skin moist and shiny.

The Lip Scrub -  Brown Sugar Lip Exfoliator: I started using this product last month and I am obsessed. It smells good and tastes good :). ..not that I will eat it (lol). I discovered it at Nordstrom and it makes my lips smooth and soft for lipstick application.

Have you tried any of these products? What are your thoughts? What is your beauty regime?

P.S I will be shooting a video soon to show you guys my process. Make sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel here.

    Chunky Sweater

chunky cable knit sweater, boyfriend jeans, malone souliers
    What I Am Wearing
Zara sweater (old, similar here, here & here) // Jeans (here, love this here & here) // Mules (here, here, love this here) // OPI "Vision of Love" nail polish (here)  // Lipstick MAC "Sin" (here)

It is getting very cold; thus, my increased appreciation and love for any chunky sweater . I have had the chunky cable knit sweater on this post for years and paring it with a pair of skinny jeans or boyfriend jeans will be my winter staple this year.

Nothing beats fun sweaters for cold winter days and when paired with denims and tees, the outcome is relaxed and casual looks.

Banana republic monogram flocked midi skort, culottes,
    What I Am Wearing:
Pants (on sale here) // Shirt (similar here & here) // Necklace (old, try this here,  love this here) // Lipstick MAC "Heroine" (here) // Christian Louboutin (here, budget friendly here less than $50 & here)

Happy Monday friends and I hope your weekend went well. I am still missing holiday moments but it is time for me to get back into the swing of things. I am excited about some projects that I will be working on this year.

Today's post features this flocked midi "skort". On a first glance, one might assume it is a skirt but really, it is a wide leg “culottes”.  The fabric is thick and slightly heavy and can easily be worn to work or for events.

For this post, I paired it with a white button down shirt and a gold collar necklace (so the shirt does not look too plain). I completed the look with classic pumps and a bold lipstick.

The skort can also be paired with a black shirt or sweater layered with a necklace . A pair of strappy sandals or ankle boots or this lace boots from my previous post will be great when paired with the skort.

Winter has finally arrived in Maryland and my casual winter looks revolve around jeans, shirts, coats and beanies. I typically pair my jeans with ankle boots, knee high boots or comfortable brogues /flats. I got this oxford for Christmas and it has been on a it! I am currently obsessed with beanies with pom pom details; a few weeks ago, I posted a picture of me wearing this red beanie on my Instagram. It is very comfy and fun and I am considering getting the grey beanies.

    Lust List: Get Fit

    Fitness and exercise gears,

Nike shoes // Bodyism exercise mat set // Yoga leggings // Make up bag // Sports bra // Mesh tank // Water bottle // Shorts // Headphones // Fitbit

The New Year is an opportunity for lifestyle changes and one of my goals this year is eating healthy, staying fit and exercising more. Pilates really helped me during my pregnancy and I also love running. Whether I am running indoors on a treadmill or outside, I understand the importance of great running shoes. My love for fashion makes me desire fabulous fitness wears and gears as there is no harm in looking good while exercising.

For fitness, I also include a 25-30mins HIIT exercise regimen which includes a mix of squats, burpees, mountain climbing, jumping jacks and lunges. It is a quick and intense workout and when my 2 year old is around, he sometimes joins mummy in his own way.

I hope to do more fitness videos like the Pilates video here; don't forget to subscribe to my YouTube page for fun videos in 2016.

    What I Am Wearing:
Self Portrait jumpsuit (on sale here, pant version here, more self portraits herehere & here) loving this jumpsuit here & here) //Shoes (here, budget friendly here)

These pictures were taken in December when we were experiencing uncommon warmer days. It is normally frigid cold in December but on that day, temperatures were unbelievably in the low 70s. I definitely loved the weather and decided to wear this black and white jumpsuit which I got during a Self Portrait sale. I will be wearing it again with a button down shirt, a leather jacket or black coat for colder days or with a white tee underneath.

    Emerald Elegance

    Badgley Mischka dress, maxi dress,
    What I Am Wearing:
Dress (here, more here, similar budget friendly pairs here & here, more maxi dress here & here) // Heel (here, similar here & here)

Happy New Year! For my first post in 2016, I am choosing this emerald green dress as it embodies my style and personality i.e. elegant, fun and unique. When it comes to dresses, I love a mix of class and something unique and this dress fits that description.

Hope your 2016 started off great and I wish you the very best. There is something exciting about 2016 and while I may not be big on resolutions, I always set up short and long term goals. For example, in 2016,

    • I plan on eating healthy and exercising more. Hopefully, these nike shoes and fabulous active wears can motivate me more ;)
    • I plan on traveling to Europe and Asia; I enjoy traveling and learning about different cultures. I hope to visit countries that I have never visited before.
    • I plan on getting Nolan involved in more fun activities such as playing musical instruments, more playdates and keeping up with his swimming classes.
    • I plan on resting and enjoying more quality time with my husband. We definitely need some breaks to spend more time together.
    • I plan on learning another language and possibly, sign language. Nolan learns Spanish in school so it should be fun educating myself.
    • Above all, it is my goal to focus on God in 2016 as his mercies endures forever.
These are some of my goals from the list I have made; what are your goals or resolutions for 2016?
