A Day Before New Year...Best of 2016!

Last day of 2016! Honestly, I feel like it was just a few months ago when I was screaming Happy New Year and excited for 2016 and now, 2016 is wrapping up.

2016 was an amazing year despite the hiccups on the way; the light at the end of the tunnel was bright. I am thankful to God for his mercies and indescribable blessings; God has been faithful and great. In 2016, I took bold career steps and I couldn’t be any happier. Also, I learnt a lot about the business of blogging and the dedication required and most importantly, the friendship of readers like you. I appreciate years of tremendous support from you; it is always exciting reading your emails, Snapchat (Jadore-Fashion) and Instagram comments. You all are amazing. Thank you for supporting me from day one.

I was blessed to have worked with amazing brands in 2016 and I am thankful to every single brand for trusting and believing in me. I really appreciate every single brand/PR I worked with in 2016. Thank you so much. I look forward to more collaborations with you.

I am very thankful to my amazing family and friends especially my husband and son for being there for me through thick and thin.

Thank you! Thank you! I am super excited for 2017. I have a lot in store to offer to everyone. Stay tuned!

Cheers to many great things in 2017!

Style On The Go

Casual style,
What I Am Wearing:
Payless loafer (c/o here, only $18 on sale) // Top (here, have this here) // White shirt (here) // Jeans (here/here)

In two days, we will usher in 2017 and the way 2016 went by so fast is amazing. This is officially the last outfit post for 2016 and what better way to end the year than in a casual everyday style.

Everyday style for me means comfy flats or loafers i.e. something easy to slip on when running errands or picking up Nolan from school. This Payless tassel loafer is a perfect addition to my closet and the navy blue color makes it easy to pair with several outfits. With the style and tassel detail, I can wear casually or for work and it is very comfy!

For this look, I paired it with flare white jeans and a navy wrap top. I layered with a button down shirt due to the cool weather and rolled up the sleeves for a casual appeal. Wearing Button down shirts is a great way to transition your summer clothes to fall/winter outfits.

Floral Blossom

floral jacquard dress,
What I Am Wearing:
Chicwish dress (c/o wearing a small here, also love this here & here) // Shoes (here, budget friendly here/here) // Kate Spade bow belt (old) // Clutch (here)

I love statement print dresses and you might have seen me in different floral prints including this Chicwish floral print dress (post here) and romantic floral print dress (post here). Today’s dress has prints that make a statement and the yellow hues of the blossom printed jacquard dress  makes it an amazing outfit.

The floral hues are weather appropriate and fits well with winter and at the same time, vibrant enough for the spring. On colder days, you can pair with black opaque tights and a black coat and for warmer days, you can style as shown on the post.

Sequins for NYE

sequin dress for nye,
What I Am Wearing:
Dress (here) // Earrings (here, more selections here) // Shoes (here, budget friendly here/here)

Happy Monday and happy Boxing Day! Hope you had an amazing Christmas day with your family and loved ones. In a few days, it will be 2017 and as you know, several New Year Eve Celebrations usher in the new year. If you are still in search of what to wear, hurry up and pick this sequin dress. I am very picky when it comes to wearing sequins as I look for classy and fun attributes in sequin ensembles. This sequin dress is something you can wear beyond the holiday season i.e. for formal events or wedding events.

For a fun take on the silver sequin dress, the bright cobalt blue drop earrings add a pop of color and a festive feel to the look. If you are looking for a subtle accessory, you can go with silver earrings. I completed the look with black pumps rather than silver shoes to avoid upsetting the colors.

Christmas At Home

Christmas card,
What I Am Wearing:
Virgos Lounge (here, shoes) // Hubby in Zara suit (similar here/here)/ Zara shoes  // Nolan (pants, blazer, shirt, Nolan's shoes/tie by Zara) // My PJs & shoes (here and here) // Nolan's PJs (here) // Hubby's PJ (here)

Just like that, it is Christmas Day! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you. This year, we decided to celebrate Christmas in Bermuda. This is our first time in Bermuda and it has been amazing so far. You can get a glimpse of Bermuda and what we are up to in the beautiful Island via Instagram and Snapchat (Jadore-Fashion). Wishing you a wonderful day of celebration with your family and loved ones. Merry Christmas.

Casual Holiday Style

casual holiday,
What I Am Wearing:
Chicwich sweater (c/o here, also love this here & here) // Express jeans (here) // White shirt (here) // Bow tie (here) // Shoes (here, budget friendly here/here)

For casual and relaxing holiday events,  I always wear a pair of jeans and a top with a formal appeal. A pair of jeans styled with a button down shirt and a bow neck tie will be a great holiday dinner outfit or for a date with friends.

For this post, I went with a black and white look rather than the festive red color and this Chicwish black and white cardigan sets the tone for the look. I love the black and white grid pattern on the cardigan  and I complemented with a white shirt, black bow neck tie and black pumps. The addition of the bow neck tie gives it a different festive feel.

Festive plaid

Holiday work style,
What I Am Wearing:
Payless shoes c/o ($29 here) // Plaid top (here, also love this here) // White shirt (here) // H&M pants (here) // H&M coat (here, similar here, more winter coats here)

Holiday work events are always fun and a great time to network with colleagues in different environments i.e. relaxed and in high holiday spirits. Most of the time, everyone is dressed in festive looks with a tone of red.

I love incorporating plaid and red for such events and for this post, I layered the bow-shoulder plaid top with a button down shirt. This helps with the cold weather while exuding a classic feel. I wore black pants and red block heels to complement the plaid top. The vibrant red color of the shoes equals “perfect holiday heels”.

Mad For Plaid

Mad for plaid,
What I Am Wearing:
Plaid skirt (40% off + free shipping here, love this pattern here) // White shirt (here) // Bow neck tie (here, love this here) // Shoes (here, budget friendly here/here) // Coat (old, try this here, here & here) // Earrings (old, try this here and here)

“Mad for plaid” is an understatement with regards to my obsession and love for plaid and tartan pieces this holiday season. I can't help how festive plaid prints remind me so much of Christmas. Talking about Christmas, it is 6 days away...the days are going by so fast! If you are part of the last minute shoppers, plaid and tartan will definitely make a great holiday gift. I rounded up some of my favorite plaid gifts (here) and last minute gift ideas (here).

This steward plaid skirt was love at first sight and I could not wait to get my hands on this JCrew skirt.  The fit is amazing and I love the flouncy and feminine touch which makes it a quintessential holiday party skirt. I paired it with a white button down shirt and added a bow neck tie for a festive feel. The addition of  the red coat helps bring out the steward plaid skirt.

Holidays are for Lounging

Christmas jammies,
What I Am Wearing
Pajamas (here & here) // Payless flurry house flats (c/o on sale for $16 here) // Mug (here) // Earrings (here)

During the holidays, I enjoy having quality family time and basking in the joy of gifting to loved ones and friends. Another favorite thing I enjoy during holidays is stocking up on fun and comfy pajamas and of course, flurry house flats to complement.

This payless flurry mocs are perfect for any season of the year. The soft furry lining makes it very cozy and it comes in a variety of colors. I went with the navy blue pair to complement my PJs. If you follow my Snapchat (Jadore-Fashion),  you might have noticed my love for house shoes especially during this cold season. Since it is the holiday season, the flats will make a great gift for a mum or your friends.

Holiday Gift Ideas

Holiday Gift Ideas For Her,

Can you believe it is 11 days to Christmas? I am still yet to complete my shopping. For those contemplating what gifts to get, I have rounded up some gift ideas for 'HER' and 'HIM'. There are lots of options for everyone. It is great to tailor your gift to the person's interest. For example, in my previous post here, I mentioned how I will be sharing beauty by gifting my mom and a friend lipsticks because I know how much they love it. For someone who loves fashion jewelries, trendy metallic drop earrings will be great. For guys, it is sometimes nice to go with gifts that are different from the everyday sweaters and shirts. Try fun items such as this Domino set or Scrabble set. You can also tailor the gifts to what they do. For example, camera lens make a great gift for photographers, videographers or hobbyists.

Sweet Ruby

Holiday party skirt,
What I Am Wearing:
Chicwish skirt c/o (here, black version here, love this here, here, have this here) // Christian Louboutin heels (here or here, budget friendly here) // Lipstick: Shiseido 'poppy' (here) // Bag (old, options (here)

For weeks, I searched for a red mini skirt for an upcoming holiday party before coming across this Chicwish red skirt. The ruby red color is vibrant and it sets the tone for a holiday party. One of my favorite details about the skirt is the pleats which help accentuate the body without it looking boxy.  I also love the feminine touch of the bowknot on the waist. This will be my look to a friend’s upcoming Christmas party. I kept the styling simple with a black off shoulder top, black pumps and an embellished black clutch

Polka Dots & Bows

Polka dot and bow,
What I Am Wearing:
Kate Spade bow top (old here, more bow tops herehere and here) // Solace London pants (old, similar hereherehere; herehere) // Bauble Bar ring (c/o here) // Pumps (here, budget friendly here)

I have always been a fan of bows and I love most pieces with bow details including this Kate Spade polka dot bow top. This is not my first time wearing it as I previously styled it for work with a black pencil skirt (seen here). For today's look, I incorporated blush pink pants to complement the slightly pink polka dots and completed the look with beige pumps.

Bold Lipstick For The Holidays

Shiseido Rouge Rouge Lipstick,
Other products used: Mascara, Full Lash Serum, Shimmering Eye Color)
Dress: (old similar here/here) // BR blazer (old, try this here) // Skirt (old, try this here/here) // Shoes (here)

You probably know I love bold lipsticks and selecting the appropriate shade that complements my skin tone, personality, style and occasion is very important. This holiday season, my ideal lipstick is a bold, red that is creamy, moisturizing and that will last through the day. My search for a bold, red lipstick led me to partner with Shiseido to share their new Rouge Rouge Collection. Not only is the formula really comfortable to wear, it comes in 16 different shades making it perfect to wear to holiday parties, office parties and whatever event this holiday season throws at me.
Among the 16 shades available in Shiseido’s Rouge Rouge line, my go-to red color is the Shiseido Poppy (RD312). It is a classic, clear bright red, which is synonymous with my style. I also love the ‘Bloodstone’ Rouge Rouge shade (RD503) for its intense rich and brownish red
color. This will be my ideal shade for date night or a glam look for the holiday.
Picking the right shade of Rouge Rouge lipstick for my mom and friend will make a great holiday gift for them because how much they love lipstick and I have never seen them go a day with wearing one. Sharing the perfect lipstick that matches each of their personal styles, will show them that I took my time in selecting a special gift for them. A lipstick gift to mom and a friend is something that resonates with me because I can tailor it to their specific needs since I know them well and truly have a special connection with them.
For my mom, I chose the ‘Toffee Apple’ for its sweet and warm red tone. Her style, medium skin tone and warm personality makes the Shiseido Toffee Apple Rouge Rouge (RD308) a perfect gift for her (bold without being too bright). Another shade that I will include for her will be the ‘Ruby Copper’ (RD501) for its vivid, warm, bright red color. For my friend whose style is very relaxed and easy going, my choices will be ‘Hushed Tones’ (RD713) and ‘Rose Crush’ (RD715). Both shades have pinkish brown tones and going by her personality, she will prefer something subtle and bold.
Knowing that getting the right shade for you or a friend or family member can be tricky, Shiseido has technology on their site that allows you to upload a photo to see what Rouge Rouge shades look best. You can upload a photo of yourself or someone you’re thinking of getting the lipsticks for as a gift and that way you’ll be sure to get them the perfect shade that matches their coloring! Check it out here.
The new Shiseido Rouge Rouge Lipstick will make a great gift and stocking stuffer for your friends and family members. What lady doesn’t like lipsticks? So why not #ShareBeauty this holiday by showing your friends and family members how well you know them and creating a special connection with them by picking the perfect lipstick to match their personality and style.

Red For Holiday

Red dress,
What I Am Wearing:
ICON's Closet (c/o here, more red dress here and here) // Christian Louboutin heels (here or here, budget friendly herehere)

Holiday looks are never complete without a red dress. Something about the color “Red” sets the holiday tone. This red 'Jadore' dress is everything and more. The simplicity of the cut and the ruffle detail makes it a classic statement piece worth wearing this holiday season.  The dress is very similar to last year’s holiday red dress (seen here).

Happy Monday everyone! Are you excited for the upcoming holidays as much as I am? My holiday spirit is in full blossom right now and I am enjoying the festive decorations and my holiday shopping continues. One of my favorite places to shop for holiday gifts and outfits is Nordstrom. Nordstrom has a variety of things for everyone and it has become my go-to destination for all designer needs from shoes to outfits.

I recently purchased this embroidered lace dress from Nordstrom and I am amazed at the intricate details. I have received great compliments with regards to the style, lace detail and color mix. It is an awesome festive dress that needs little accessories as it stands out. I paired the dress with classic black pumps and I pulled my hair back to showcase the high neck lace details. If you are still looking for what to wear this holiday, hop over to Nordstrom and enjoy their free shipping and returns. The final shipping date for a guaranteed Christmas delivery is December 23rd.
