Incorporating Color To Work Style

work style,
What I Am Wearing:
Skirt (here, budget friendly here, more pencil skirt here) // Sweater (here, more here) // Asos duster coat (old, try this here, more here) // Jean Cazabat pumps (old, try this herehere & here) // BaubleBar ring/earrings (c/o here and here) // Lipstick 'Candy Yum Yum' (here)

Happy Monday beautiful people! Hope you all had a great weekend. I am starting the new week with a work inspired look which includes one of my favorite work pieces i.e. a pencil skirt. Also featured is a turtleneck sweater. As a kid, I was not a big fan of turtleneck sweaters but lately, I have started embracing turtleneck sweaters especially cashmere ones. Cashmere sweaters are high quality pieces and do not give a “scratchy neck” feeling.

For today's work style, I am showcasing how to incorporate color into fall work style in a subtle way. This can be achieved by choosing a bold color and styling it around lighter shades of the color. The light color tones help create a subtle look without taking away from the color focus. In this case, the main color focus is cobalt blue (i.e. the turtleneck), which is styled around light blue color tones - the skirt and jacket. I completed the look with two-tone pumps and the cobalt blue color complements the turtleneck pulling the whole look together.
