Plaids always set the mood for the holiday season and I look forward to wearing plaid pieces this season. Last year, I wore this plaid shirt for one of my holiday looks (as seen here). It is literally party time as the season of holiday parties and events has arrived. Whether you are hosting a dinner party, attending a holiday work event or black tie event, I've got you covered. As the week progresses, I will be sharing more holiday inspired looks and for different occasions.  Today's look is another option for a holiday party and it is what I will wear to a holiday black tie event.

You can't go wrong with an all-black ensemble and this Chicwish maxi skirt is amazing. From the bowknot detail to the soft sheen pleats and volume, this maxi beauty is a statement piece on its own. I paired it with an off-shoulder top and accessorized with a burgundy stole for a touch of holiday spirit. This look is a simple and a classic look for a black tie event.

Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a great thanksgiving holiday break and weekend. On my Snapchat (Jadore-Fashion) and Instagram, I gave a glimpse of my holiday weekend i.e. cooking and enjoying quality family time. We had a mini “staycation” in Virginia the day after thanksgiving and used the opportunity to visit a friend. Also, we continued the family tradition of picking up a Christmas tree after thanksgiving and I look forward to decorating with Nolan.

Can you really believe that Christmas is less than a month away?; time really flies. Starting today, I will be featuring holiday outfit ideas so please stay tuned.
Today's look reminisces last year's Kate Spade holiday dress with two-tone colors. I absolutely love the classic black and white mix of this dress. It is not a typical red or bright colored holiday dress. One of the main things that caught my attention is the bow detail on the back. This outfit will great for a holiday party, an event with friends or for someone in need of a different color theme for the holidays.

Everyday is a day to be thankful. As we celebrate Thanksgiving today, I reflect on the amazing family, friends and everyone of you guys that have been a fan of this blog. Your tremendous love and support can never be forgotten. I sincerely appreciate you all and I am obsessively grateful for your love.

On cold fall and winter days, it is easy to let go the idea of incorporating colors, but styling and mixing colors should be all year-round; this makes it exciting and fun.  For today's post, I mixed mustard yellow pants with a reddish-orange colored jacket to brighten my fall ensemble. Since both colors are bold, I completed the look with an off white blouse and beige pumps. The neutral colors strike a balance with the bold colors

Incorporating Color To Work Style

Happy Monday beautiful people! Hope you all had a great weekend. I am starting the new week with a work inspired look which includes one of my favorite work pieces i.e. a pencil skirt. Also featured is a turtleneck sweater. As a kid, I was not a big fan of turtleneck sweaters but lately, I have started embracing turtleneck sweaters especially cashmere ones. Cashmere sweaters are high quality pieces and do not give a “scratchy neck” feeling.  

For today's work style, I am showcasing how to incorporate color into fall work style in a subtle way. This can be achieved by choosing a bold color and styling it around lighter shades of the color. The light color tones help create a subtle look without taking away from the color focus. In this case, the main color focus is cobalt blue (i.e. the turtleneck), which is styled around light blue color tones - the skirt and jacket. I completed the look with two-tone pumps and the cobalt blue color complements the turtleneck pulling the whole look together.

Keep It Cool and Stay Warm

Staying warm during fall and winter requires tons of layering and I get inspiration from beautiful fall sceneries. I incorporate color into my wardrobe by including these ‘fall inspired’ colors: burgundy, coral, deep red and camel. These colors are warm, bold and not too overbearing. I tend to layer warm colors with neutral colors and for this look, I layered the burgundy sweater with the camel coat for a day in the park.

When it is cold, I also try to keep warm by sipping hot beverages and thanks to this bobble Insulate, I can take my hot drinks to work, on errands and on days like this when I am enjoying the beautiful fall scenery in the park with my family. Slip dresses are ridiculously comfortable. It's almost like wearing your nightwear during the day without looking like you rolled out of bed. There are so many ways to style slip dresses. First, find a length that's suitable for your body and height. Pair your slip dress by itself and layer a button down shirt or tee shirt depending on the occasion. You can also pair it with oversized jacket or sweater. For me, I paired my mid length slip dress with oversized duster jacket. The jacket gives it a more daytime appeal rather than a nightwear. I wore a strappy beige sandals to complement the slip dress color.

Happy Monday everyone! Though I had the day off on Friday, it still feels like the weekend went by too fast (as always). I am however excited about Thanksgiving holiday next week and this also means that the “biggest sale day” (Black Friday) is around the corner. Black Friday is one of the best shopping days and a perfect time to shop for the holidays including Christmas gifts. I will be doing a blog post with several Black Friday sales...don't miss it! I will also be sharing my favorite items here, on Facebook and on twitter; be prepared to shop!

Today's post focuses on the side-stripe tuxedo style track pants. Track pants go well with casual or relaxed looks and in professional settings depending on how they are styled. An easy way to style a track pant for work is by pairing it with a button-down shirt. You can also layer it with a sweater and blazer. I love the versatility of this Zara wide-legged trouser as it is very comfy and the bold red stripes add character to the outfit. To complement the pants' color, I styled it with a 'color-block' bag (previously worn here). All pieces from this look complement each other without taking away from the original focus - the track pants.
