What I Am Wearing:
Ruffle blouse (here or here,  love this here, more here) // Express Jeans (c/o here, more here & here) // Shoes (here or here, similar here)

Happy Friday! This week was very busy and if you follow my Instagram or Snapchat (Jadore-Fashion), you probably saw a glimpse of what my week consisted of, including taking care of Nolan. I am looking forward to a relaxing weekend.

Today's look is my ideal Friday/weekend style. For a casual weekend look, I always go for a relaxed denim, graphic tee or fun blouse. This girlfriend jeans and ruffle blouse create a perfect weekend style for brunch with friends or family. I always like to add a pop of color with my accessories and these suede mules are very comfortable.

Cascading ruffles

jcrew drake collection, ruffle skirt,
What I Am Wearing:
ICONS Closet skirt (c/o here,  more pencil skirts here & here) // JCrew top (here, try this hereeyeing this here) // Pumps (here, budget friendly here and here), MAC lipstick 'Oh Lady' (here)

I am currently obsessed with ruffles especially unique ones that make statements on their own. Ruffles are great accessories that require little or no styling and the cascading ruffles of this ICONS Closet skirt  is everything and more. The color and ruffle detail makes it the right style for me.

There are several ways to style this ruffle skirt depending on the occasion. It can be styled casually or formally for work or other events.  For this post, I paired with a burgundy print top which has hints of green to complement the skirt. I completed the look with classic beige pumps and my favorite fall lipstick which also complements the top.

Fall Work Style: Pinstripe suit

pinstripe burgundy suit,
What I Am Wearing
Blazer (here, more here and here) // Pants (here, more here and here) // Everlane shirt (here, similar here, more options here and here) // Pumps (here, budget friendly here and here), MAC lipstick 'Oh Lady' (here)

Today, I woke up to a cold fall day which is a plain reminder that hot summer days are ending.  For fall work outfits, the goal for me is to stay warm and chic which is why colored suits and pinstripes are some of my favorites. Pinstripes and colored suits such as olive green, redfuchsia, and blue pinstripes are great ways to add color to your work style. For this post, I paired the pinstripe burgundy suit with a beige shirt and beige pumps.

Favorite Fall Looks

Fall looks,
Hello Autumn; Happy first day of fall to everyone. As the new season begins, I think about beautiful fall leaves and in anticipation, I have compiled some of my favorite fall looks from the past. My favorite fall colors are burgundy, mustard yellow and forest green. The rusty and vibrant look of fall colors makes it easy to incorporate into fall looks without being too bright. You can definitely recreate some of these looks for work, outings or casual days out. I look forward to sharing more fall looks this season.

msgm ruffle skirt,
What I am Wearing:
MSGM skirt (here or here, black version here, beige here, pink version here) // Top (On sale here or here, similar here) // Sam Edelman boot (old, try this herehere and here)

I look forward to embracing boots this fall and pairing ankle boots with dresses and skirts would be awesome. This MSGM ruffle skirt  is a statement piece on its own and it says nothing but “fun”. The exaggerated ruffle detail adds an edge to the look and it comes in red and black colors and this dress version is on my list of what to wear.

For this post, I styled the ruffle skirt with a light blue bow blouse for contrast and I completed the look with my old Sam Edelman booties for a take on fall.

Happy Monday! I am starting the new week in a midi pencil skirt and an all-black ensemble.  Midi skirts and ankle pants are some of my choice outfits for work and I always look for pencil skirts with unique features. Staying Active

stein mart wear, fitness routine on
What I Am Wearing:
Outfits c/o Stein Mart: Floral Print Tee Shirt // Floral Print Leggings (also have this here) // Zip Front Sports bra // New Balance sneakers (also got this here)

Fitness activity is a lifestyle and you should discover what type of activity brings you joy i.e. swimming, dancing, hiking, working out e.t.c These are some great options in staying fit and healthy and some of my favorite routines are  HIIT exercises (High Intensity Interval Training), Pilates, jogging/running and sometimes, just walking around the park. Working out should not be dreadful but enjoyable and as this shirt says, "Be Fit, Not Perfect".

A great fitness outfit is important and I personally like fitness wears that are fun, vibrant and act as 'athleisure' wears at the same time.  This floral print top and leggings from Stein Mart fits that description perfectly; I love the contrasting waist band and the single pocket inside front of the waistband which is amazing! I also got this tie dye print capri pants to alternate with this fun graphic tee shirt. Stein Mart has a nice selection of active wears and sneakers. The New balance sneakers is very comfortable and fits right in with my active wear selections.

Here is a quick run-down what my current fitness routine entails:

  • HIIT: 30mins
  • Thighs & Glutes exercise
    • Ski squats: 10 reps, 3 sets
    • Sumo squat: 10 reps, 3 sets
    • Jump squats : 10 reps, 3 sets
    • Squat pulses: 30-40sec
  • Leg exercises
    • Weighted Lunges using 5lbs
    • Side lunges
  • Shoulder & Arms
    • Car Drivers with 5lbs weight
    • Bicep, hamstring curls...
  • Abs
    • Toe touch crunches
    • Reaching oblique crunches
    • Flutter kicks
    • Sit ups

    Wear To Work

    wear to work,

Outfit: c/o Express (Blouse, pants, and Jacket)

Today’s post is all about work style. I personally believe work styles should reflect who you are, where you plan to be and I like dressing in the way I wish to be addressed. I always want to make a lasting impression on people I meet and remember, work style can be classy and fun.

I place importance on work styles that are comfortable and reflect my personality as such, I look for pieces with great colors and unique details. For these reasons, I have partnered with Express to show you what my typical work style is and how it reflects who I am.

Express has an amazing collection of work styles for both men and women with unique pieces. As I walked into their store last week, I could not help but notice this polka dots blouse. It had everything I wanted in a work look – great color with unique details. From the lace sleeve details to the buttons on the back, I knew I was going home with it. I also picked up this embellished military jacket; a piece that has an element of my personality and it is unique.  I love that it is versatile because I can pair it for work or casually with jeans.

Another item I picked up from the store are the black pants which are essential for work. Everybody needs a great pair of black pants from ankle length pants to flare and wide leg pants. This high waisted wide leg pant is comfortable and fits great and wearing outfits that look great exudes confidence. This overall look is not only for work as it will be great to wear for dinner dates and drink dates with my friends - classy, comfortable and chic!

Step by Step Skin Care Routine

Step by step skin care routine,
Since my prior 'beauty regime' post earlier this year, I have additional skin care products and some new favorites; I also mentioned my skin care routine on Instagram and on my Snapchat (Jadore-Fashion).

The products I have not changed are Cetaphil Daily Facial CleanserHydraluronDr. Dennis Gross Ferulic Retinol Serum, and Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisturizer with SPF 15. I have however added Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate, Kiehls Daily Reviving Concentrate, Kiehls powerful reducing eye cream, Aesop Exfoliate paste and Aesop facial toner.

Over the years, I have come to understand my skin and the products that work best for me with regards to maintaining good and healthy skin. In the past, I limited my options to SPF moisturizers, facial cleansers and Vaseline products. On this post, I am sharing my current skin care routine.

I use different facial cleansers and face oils in the morning and at night. In morning, I use Kiehls Reviving Concentrate and Cetaphil for a gentle and soft touch because at that time of the day, my skin has not been in contact with external particles i.e makeup e.t.c . At night, I use Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash which I call 'little fighter' as it clears off potential or current acne and I also use the Kiehls Midnight Concentrate.

    Step by Step Process:
    • Step 1: I wipe my face using baby wipes

    • Step 2: After removing my makeup, I use Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash (at night) or Cetaphil (in the morning) to gently wash my face

    • Step 4: I apply a pea size amount of Hydraluron over my face. I love the way it keeps my skin plumped and hydrated.

    • Step 6: After the serum, I apply the Powerful Wrinkle Reducing Eye Cream. I started using this product after trying out a small it! I can see a difference in the morning around my eyes after using it at night. I love the texture and it's not greasy.

    • Step 7: I was a bit hesitant about oil concentrate because I have normal to oily skin, but after sampling this Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate, it has become constant in my routine.  It is very lightweight and it is amazing how it restores my skin appearance overnight leaving it smoother.  After using it for months, I decided to try the Daily Reviving Concentrate. I use the Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate at night and the Daily Reviving Concentrate in the morning.

    • Step 8: Not listed in the pictures, I use Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisturizer with SPF 15 in the morning only. It feels light and keeps my face moisturized throughout the day. The SPF 15 is a plus for sun protection. I have been using this for years. The oldest product in my routine.

    • Step 9: Lastly, I use this Biossance 'The Nourisher' Rose oil mainly at night after applying the Midnight Recovery Concentrate. It contains Vitamin C which is designed to keep you skin radiant and smooth and it definitely does. It is an amazing product in a small bottle! It is non greasy and it keeps my face moisturized. The smell is amazing too!

Extra: Purifying Facial Exfoliate Paste I use this once or twice a week with my CLARISONIC. It leaves my skin really cleansed and soft. I follow up with my  Aesop Parsley Seed Anti-oxidant facial toner and the rest of my routine.

    Through the lens

    eyeconic sunglasses,

    What I Am Wearing
Zara top (more options here) // Zara pants (similar hereherehere and here) // Eyeconic sunnies (here & here) // MAC lipstick mixed both 'Lady Danger' (here) and 'Feels So Grand' (here)

My busy schedule at times makes in-store shopping a hassle which is why when shopping for sunglasses or eyewear that fits my style, Eyeconic is my preferred choice as it is very easy to find designer frames. I wanted a neutral pair of sunglasses with unique features and while looking at the collections at Eyeconic, I came across their Calvin Klein Collection sunglasses.

The first pair I selected was a blush minimalistic pair with reverse hinges and visible screw details that create a glamorous look. The second pair  has a modern feel and the shape and thin metal eye rim add to its beauty. I paired it with my floral blouse and white pants. The second pair was worn casually with a tee and denim shorts. I love both sunnies -- versatile!

P.S. Shopping at Eyeconic is 100% risk free with free shipping and returns to U.S. at no minimums.

    Back To School In KangaROO

    Back to school, Payless Kangaroo,
    What I Am Wearing
Payless sneaker (c/o here) // Short (here or here, more here) // Tee (here, love this here) // OPI nail polish 'We are Female' (here)
Nolan top ($9 here) // Shorts (here) // Payless KangaROO sneakers (c/o here)

Do you remember the KangaROOs?  Back in high school, KangaROOS’ sneakers were very cool and now, they are back with amazing designs, colors and styles and all available at Payless.

When I received these KangaROOS from Payless, I was eager to try them on; very comfortable and I love the cute zippered pocket on the sides. They also have amazing styles for kids like this sneaker that comes in handy for running around the park. Kids will love these KangaROOS just in time for back to school.  The velcro sides makes it easy for Nolan to slide in and out hence, a “win win” situation.
