Wednesday, July 30, 2014

Hi loves! Happy Wednesday! Hope you are having a great one so far.

For today's post, I kept the ensemble around black and white. It all started with my love for this Tildon skirt, which I got from Nordstrom Pentagon City on SALE!...yep, and it is still on sale i.e. Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.

I love the style of the faux leather skirt. It will definitely look great for fall when paired with ankle boots or knee-high boots. I completed the look with a Zara crop top and my black and white Gianvito rossi pumps.

If you haven't checked out the Anniversary Sale, do so before August 4th as all items will revert to their original prices on that day. You can check out my favorite picks for the Nordstrom sale here.

Have a great week guys…

Stella's Lust List

Stella's Lust List #1

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7
Hi loves! Happy Tuesday! Today, I am bringing to you, something new. Each week, I will start sharing my favorite items from clothing to decor…pretty much anything that I have my eyes on for the week (or coveting). This week, the items above are my “lust list”.

The burgundy color of the Fendi bag and calm olive green Valentino Rockstud sandals caught my attention; perfect color tones for summer and fall. Don’t overlook the “split skirt,” – I love Altuzarra Spring/Summer 2014 pieces and I can’t get enough of split skirts that can be worn with heels or knee-high boots for the fall.

The sixth item on my lust list will always be dear to my heart. Quoting Carrie Bradshaw, “I like my money right where I can see it…hanging in my closet.” I know you all remember that scene and quote.

My new favorite watch - Daniel Wellington (simple and classy)…I love the big round face of the watch. Lastly, I love the aroma of anything by Jo Malone, not excluding the perfume.

Since I am gearing up for a vacation, my ideal swimsuit has to be high-waist with prints.

All these items above will definitely fit right into my closet…don’t you think? ;) What is on your “lust list”?

Have a wonderful day.

The Wedding Guest

Outfit: Asos dress (here, similar here & here) // Lipstick (here) // Christian Louboutin pumps (here, affordable pair here & here)

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend. I had a fun and relaxing one with my family. After a few hours at work on Saturday, I met up with my blogger friend Prissy for lunch at Clyde's Restaurant - awesome. The rest of my weekend was spent with Nolan who was such a trooper even as he experienced the teething phase.

If you follow me on twitter, you probably saw my tweets raving about this dress. It was love at first sight and my initial thought was that it will be a perfect outfit for a wedding guest. The print, style and shoulder details make it classy. I kept other accessories to a minimal level with the outfit as the main focus.

Wednesday, July 23, 2014

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday and I hope you are having a great week. I can’t believe I am already thinking about prep schools for Nolan…how time flies. In the coming days and weeks, hubby & I will be visiting some schools with a goal of finding a place where he can socialize, learn and have fun with his age mates. I am looking forward to this new experience and just might need more than a box of Kleenex on his first day of school. I might just camp outside the parking lot (lol). Do you have any suggestions on what to look for when searching for schools?

Today’s outfit post is styled around the “Aquazzurra sandals” which is the focus with other items complementing i.e. the “mirrored sunglasses”. I kept the rest of the outfit as simple as possible.

Mini Skirt Remix

Happy Monday everyone!!! Hope your weekend was great. I had an amazing weekend. On Sunday, I headlined the fashion segment of TUM showcase event. A special thanks to everyone that stopped by to say hello and a big thank you to TUM’s team and the lovely lady Deedee. Hubby carried Nolan in his arms and he was surprised at the number of people that recognized him and Nolan from my blog. For those that said hello to them, thanks a lot. Afterwards, we attended a friend’s birthday celebration and now, I am ready to start an awesome week.

I love mixing different prints with silhouettes and the striped blazer and floral skirt is a fun way of styling this miniskirt. The tank top paired with the structured skirt definitely creates a relaxed look. Blue and mustard yellow stand out with blue as the common color (taken from the skirt). The mustard yellow adds a pop to the ensemble and I completed the look with a translucent clutch and pumps

Work Style: Pastel Mix

Hi everyone! Hope you are having an awesome week. It is Wednesday which means the weekend is around the corner. At least, that is what I tell myself to momentarily forget busy work days.

If you are hesitant about adding color to your work style, you can always start with pastel colors - not too bright but just enough to spice up any summer work outfit. Today’s outfit post is another way of incorporating color to your work style. I paired the mint skirt with a light blue button up shirt (with sleeves rolled up). I completed the look with fuchsia pumps and a statement necklace.

Remember, you can always make the remaining days of the week beautiful. Have a lovely one…

Orange Is The New Black

Hi loves! Happy Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend. I always look forward to restful and relaxing weekends with the family after productive and busy weeks. On Saturday morning, we set up Nolan’s “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” car. He was obsessed with the car and enjoyed being pushed around the house. You can check out the picture on my Instagram. Afterwards, Nolan and I went out for a playdate with a friend and her daughter - amazing. I love playdates and getting to chat with other moms.

On Sunday after church, I watched the world cup finals while enjoying my favorite treat i.e. frozen yogurt.  It was such a fun game to watch and I am going to miss the tournament. Did you guys watch the game?

Today’s outfit is predominately orange; I guess “Orange Is the New Black” – I cannot get enough of the color these days. I incorporated a black vest to tone down the orange while complementing the black accents on the pumps.

Paint Splatter

Hi everyone! Happy Monday! Hope you had a great weekend and enjoyed your 4th of July (Independence Day) celebration. Nolan and I visited my parents while hubby was away in New York filming a wedding. You can check out his site LynksDrivers for all things wedding videography. Later in the evening, I went to a friend's cookout which was awesome.

I love the simple colors on this blue and white maxi dress. The dress is elegant when dressed up as seen in this post or dressed down in flats. I completed the look with Gianvito Rossi pumps and a JCrew havana clutch.

In Those Jeans

Hi loves! Happy Wednesday! How has your week been? Mine has been great and I am looking forward to the 4th of July(Independence Day) weekend. I don’t have any plans but to rest, do a few blogging activities and hopefully see some fireworks display with my family. I also plan on watching my new favorite show “Tyrant” .
I love to wear boyfriend jeans to relax but lately, I have been leaning towards high-waist distressed jeans. This Topshop pair caught my attention while attending a bloggers’ event at Nordstrom Pentagon weeks ago. The fit and wash is awesome - my husband also noticed it when we went on a date and he asked about the old-school style. He said “is this another 70s fashion making a comeback?” LOL!
Besides tees, I love pairing high-waist jeans with crop tops. For this post, I paired it with a fun white crop top…love the ruffles and back details. I am thinking of pairing an all-white ensemble with this white high-waist denim. I completed the look with fun sandals by Sophia Webster.

NEW IN: Sophia Webster Girl Talk

Sophia Webster shoes has become my current summer obsession. I love their colorful, fun and unique shoes. This specific sandals caught my attention few months ago, but I didn't want to pay the retail price. As soon as it went on sale (70% off) on Net-a-porter, I knew I had to get it. I have worn it with almost everything including in my upcoming outfit post.

Get it here (also love this pair here)
