Pastel Floral

Hello guys. Wow, I cannot believe October is over and Christmas is just a couple of weeks away. Of course, we get to celebrate Thanksgiving before then. I just love the holiday season i.e. the decorations, food and the priceless company of family and friends. I am looking forward to Nolan’s first Christmas and the excitement of putting up our Christmas tree. I have already ordered his “first Christmas” stockings from Pottery barn…next will be Christmas shopping.
I am equally excited about the fall season especially the changing colors of leaves that fall from the trees. Apart from the usual fall color tones such as burgundy and mustard, I love pastel colors for this season.
For this outfit, I mixed a pastel pink sweater with a floral print midi skirt. I love the floral colors of the skirt because it incorporates a mix of pastel and warm colors. This makes it suitable to wear both in the fall and spring. Keeping with a neutral theme, I wore beige pumps.  I completed the look with a dark clutch and burgundy lipstick, which pops out the color tones of the skirt without being overbearing.

BLACK, Mustard

Hi everyone and hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was more relaxation with hubby and Nolan who got more vaccination shots. I could not watch as my baby received his shots; his tears always make me cry. However, he was such a trooper who stopped crying after a few bear hugs from daddy.
Sunday after church, Nolan and I went to visit a friend. He was so vibrant and energetic after church that I could not resist capturing his big smile, which I posted on my Instagram (@jadorefashion).
In this outfit post, I went with an all-black look with a crop top and midi pencil skirt. I love crop tops. Personally, I love when a crop top is paired with a high-waist bottom. I chose a Zara high-waist skirt and added a gold detailed clutch to offset the monochrome look. This compliments the gold details of the heeled sandals. I completed the look with a pop of color -- my favorite fall tone i.e. mustard.

Too Cool

 photo Attachment-1-5_zps0b636f9e.jpeg
Hi everyone! How has your week been? I recently joined a gym referred to me by a co-worker. I have enrolled in their active cardio/strength training class. The gym is closer to my work so I have more flexibility attending different classes.

Lately, my 'go-to' outfits have been graphic tees with bottoms. They can be worn on casual Fridays or to dinner with friends. It is hard to go wrong with graphic tees and they provide an easy way to transition from work to fun outfits.

BLUE Circle

 photo Asos-full-skirt-jadore-fashion_zps8d1df210.jpg
Hi everyone! Another new week...hope you had a great weekend and hope your week started off great. I had a nice and relaxing weekend. After spending the greater part of the day with Nolan, my husband and I went for a quick getaway to celebrate our anniversary (when I said “yes” to him). Both grandmas were around to babysit Nolan.

On Sunday, I decided to check out the new Topshop boutique in Nordstrom pentagon DC....love the collection of items. I ended up getting two items, which I will include in a video haul coming soon on my youtube channel .

I wore the skirt in this post back in August for a 50s themed wedding. This time, I decided to style it in a classy way for a date or corporate event. I love the vibrant color of the skirt which makes a statement on its own. The asos top is one I also wore during my last trimester. I like the off shoulder details and how it adds a bit of sexy appeal without going overboard. I completed the outfit with my 'go-to' pumps. ;-)

Grey Plaid

 photo photo_zps2a0b516e.jpg

Hi everyone and I hope your week is going on well. The days are going by so fast and my baby will be 4 months old tomorrow -- time flies :) Hubby and I are excited about our Christmas plans with him. The weather has been changing; one moment, it is raining and the next, it is sunny, warm or breezy. When breezy, it is cold which means fall is definitely on its way. I have started digging out my fall sweaters.

For this post, I found my chunky grey H&M sweater...perfect to pair with the plaid full skirt. I love the lady-like feeling of full skirts. Also, I love the fact that full skirts can be styled in different ways to accommodate the changing weather. The grey sweater compliments the grey details of the skirt and showcases the print of the skirt...making the skirt the statement piece.

Trend Alert: Full Skirt

Trend Alert: Full Skirt

What better way to look chic and elegant, than in a pair of full skirt. Full skirts or circle skirts are very elegant and never out of fashion...thanks to the 50s. There are many ways to wear this trend. You can either pair it with a crop top, sweater, silk blouse and paired with either sandals or pumps for a feminine appeal.

Date Night Fashion Dos and Dont’s

Date Night Fashion Dos and Dont’s: what we all need to know
Whether out on the town with a new man or rekindling the romance in a long-term relationship, choosing an appropriate outfit for a date can prove to be a bit of a dilemma. Why not avoid a scrape with style by following a few of these hints and tips to ensure you don’t make a fashion faux pas?

First date dos and don’ts
You only have one chance to make a first impression, so when you are off on a first date, it’s important to be remembered for all the right reasons. Avoid extremes of dressing. Rather than formal attire, opt for a fun and flirty outfit. Something a little sexy rather than straightforward will help to make the right style statement.

Casual encounters
A relaxed look is the date dress ideal, whether you are enjoying a Cineworld IMAX experience with a casual cuddle or out and about on a daytime date. You don’t want to look too made up, but you want to look good too.  A good pair of jeans and leather boots is a chic combination, suitable for a variety of occasions. A fine knit sweater, finished with a motorcycle jacket and a lightweight scarf in a neutral color is a sure-fire hit for any daytime date.

How to deal with an undisclosed destination
If your imaginative other half has suggested a surprise evening out, but the location is undisclosed, don’t get into a fashion frenzy, look to the little black dress to reduce your style stress. Dress your outfit down with a pair of flat shoes or boots, but if the occasion calls for it, slip on some heels and add more opulent accessories.

Meet the parents
If the time has come to meet his mum and dad, avoid unnecessary anxiety by being yourself and dressing in the style that suits you. Something simple is ideal, but don’t hide your personal taste completely. Add an element of interest and femininity with a floral print or quirky pattern. Minimal make-up for a natural look will enhance the effect of your clothing choice.
For any date, it’s important to lay the foundations. Wearing well-fitting and flattering underwear will boost your confidence and showcase your outfit at its best. Irrespective of whether your lingerie is revealed, attractive underwear will make you feel appropriately attired. Avoid uncomfortable garments that niggle at your nether regions. Constant readjustments will make you look and feel awkward. Dress to impress, but be yourself with fun and flirty outfits to dazzle on any date.

Burgundy Mix

Burgundy-asos-jadore-fashion photo Attachment-1-4_zpsb5acde15.jpeg

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend. My weekends are usually spent with my baby Nolan and running mini errands in preparation for the new week. It rained this past weekend so I stayed indoors catching up on the new season of 'Homeland'. Does anyone watch Homeland? My husband and I are obsessed with the show. While my hubby has been a fan for a while, I discovered the show in December 2012 during our Christmas vacation in Canada. My in-laws and I watched the show back-to-back through the night until about 5am… fun memories.

The weather is gradually changing and so are my outfit colors. Fall and winter always bring out the 'burgundy' in me. The mixture of burgundy and mustard reminds me of fall and fall leaves i.e. a reflection of warmth. As soon as I saw this asos skirt, I was smitten by the length and color. Besides the color, I love the big pockets in the front and the side slits.. love unique details on any item. I paired it with a mustard tank to bring out the burgundy color then added a neutral blazer and pumps for a subtle touch. Of course, it will not be a complete J'adore-Fashion outfit without a statement piece. In this case my leopard clutch (previous worn here) was perfect for the look.

The Grid

Jadore-fashion-windowpane-grid photo Attachment-1-1_zps35dcf121.jpeg

Hi everyone! Hope your week is going well. Thank you so much for the warm welcome. Though I was a bit nervous, I am excited to return and keep sharing what I love via blog posts.

You might have noticed a trend of grids or windowpane patterns and I have been a fan for a while. I wore a grid patterned asos skirt during the early stages of my pregnancy. Months later, I am still in love with the windowpane pattern and the gap pants was just right and affordable.

Have a great week…

P!NK Statement

 photo 45a58eb3-a2d5-4eb6-8539-844d3178504c_zps4b8246a2.jpg

Hi everyone! This marks my official return to blog outfits posts. Thanks a lot for all your continued support and love; here, and on my instagram page. It is still amazing that I am the mom of a wonderful 3 month son, Nolan. Life is great and motherhood is awesome. I returned to work after a 3 month maternity leave. Being a working mom is definitely a new experience which I am fully embracing. My schedule is super busy but my greatest joy is seeing Nolan’s big smile when I get home from work. I am excited to start blogging again though it feels new. It is a new "season" and there’s a lot to share with you guys...stay tuned ;)

In August, I wore the skirt on this post to a wedding with a stripped top. It is on my instagram page. For the post, I tried recreating something more casual and chic, so I paired it with a graphic Zara shirt...previous worn here during my pregnancy. I love graphic tees and how they can transform formal attires to something casual for a date night or outing with friends. I kept all accessories to a minimal level because the skirt’s bright pink color is a statement on its own.

Olivier Rousteing, the brain behind the Balmain design never disappoints. The 80s were in full display this season. Love the heavy chains, houndstooth patterns, pastel palettes and flared skirt. Rihanna, Ciara and Gwen Stefani are some of the celebrities that will be rocking these collection.

New In: Kate Spade

JQ6A1719
I have had my eyes on these Kate Spade pumps for months. To be exact, I spotted it during fashion week New York last September and immediately fell in love with its elegant and unique style. After months of searching for my size, I finally found it on the Kate Spade website on sale. Love the bow and polka dot details.
