The week went by so fast and the weekend is just around the corner. Each week moves us closer to meeting our little munchkin. I always have a surreal and emotional feeling whenever the thought of being a mother crosses my mind - so grateful to God. This weekend, we will be having decorators from Pottery Barn Kids at our home as we work on the baby nursery.

In this post, I am wearing another outfit from our recent trip to Punta Cana. The orange color of the Asos ruffle dress is everything spring 2013 will be about. There will be a trend of bright colors this spring and summer. Though, spring is taking a while to get here, I could not resist wearing the dress in this post.

Hi everyone! Hope you are doing great. I am back to my regular schedule after a 5 day trip to Punta CanaDominican Republic (DR). I came back energized and was welcomed by a “spring snow day” in MD. It snowed yesterday but the memories of the white sand and clear blue water in Punta Cana made my day. It was our second visit to Punta Cana and it felt new and awesome. I ate, slept and relaxed by the beach...definitely a great "babymoon" or "babycation" as my hubby called it. :)
While in Punta Cana, all I wanted to wear were flowy and colored dresses. This Mikoh cover-up was a perfect dress to stroll around the resort and lay on the beach. I love the length and sexy cutout on the back. I highly recommend the dress. It can be worn as a cover-up or with heels for brunch while on vacation.

kate spade saturday 5
The new line of Kate Spade NY is finally here. The "Kate Spade Saturday" line is fun, chic, vibrant and affordable. Definitely the right outfits for tea parties, dates, cocktails or casual wears to hang out for brunch with friends. I love the colors, graphics and clean shapes. These fun pieces capture the spirit of Saturday.

Vacation Floral

floral in punta cana by
Hello beautiful people! Hope you are having a great week. After our late arrival to Punta Cana on Tuesday, all we wanted to do was eat and relax. On Wednesday, we strolled around the resort skipping room service for an outdoor dinner. For dinner, I wore a casual floral romper and neon Old navy sandals -- comfortable for the 80 degrees weather. We are definitely trying to enjoy the warm weather before going back to a colder one. You can see more snapshots of my Punta Cana "babymoon" trip on my instagram and Facebook.

Hi everyone! Hope you are all doing great. I arrived in Punta Cana after a delay due to airline logistics. I am however super excited and ready for the warm beaches.

How was your weekend? On Friday, I attended a friend’s Yoruba traditional wedding. It was a beautiful and lovely wedding and I was surprised I did not get tired. I could not resist dancing to the music and the melodies of the talking drums. I also enjoyed the company of my friends that attended the event. I posted a glimpse of the event on my Vine channel.

On Sunday, my husband and I went to Pottery Barn to start nursery shopping. I have so many ideas and I am also leaning towards a jungle themed mural for the walls. I liked all the elephant, giraffe and lamb decor items at the store. Hubby liked a particular rocking chair which we will be adding to the nursery. I posted a picture of him on the chair on my instagram. :)

The outfit in this post reminds me of the Zara print pair that I wore here. I love mixing and pairing prints. The H&M prints ensemble was just fun and comfortable. I love the tunic top, which gives my bump lots of breathing room. Rather than wearing black or beige pumps, I went with a more colorful one to brighten my day. I also changed my lipstick to NARS Schiap (pink) and it has become one of my favorite pink lipsticks.

Casual Twist In Black & White

Hi beautiful people! The week is over and this means I have a couple of days to get ready for my trip to Dominican Republic. Yep, I am going back to Punta Cana - a nice surprise from hubby. Our first visit to Punta Cana was two years ago when I planned a surprise trip for my husband and we fell in love with the country. Everyone seemed to be friendly and the beaches were amazing.

Our first visit was adventurous as we did everything from horse-back riding, ATV rides and catamaran cruises which I documented here and on my YouTube. This time around, we will just relax on the beach while enjoying the warm weather before our little munchkin arrives. I will definitely keep you updated with outfit posts here and fun details on my instagram and twitter.

I wore this black and white ensemble for an evening night out with hubby. I like comfy outfits due to my bump and I lean towards pants with drawstrings. This pair is pretty comfortable and stylish. There is a big emerging "black and white" trend for spring 2013. This is another take on the trend as previously seen here. This time around, I wore a v-neck tee for a casual feel and white shoes to complement. White shoes are also another big trend to look out for and I love the pointed structure of my shoemint shoes and the edgy feel of the straps.

Hi everyone! I hope you had a nice weekend. While I didn’t do much over the weekend, I was thankful for the great weather. It really felt like spring and I am looking forward to a warm summer. We are considering a vacation before our baby it a babymoon. :)

The warm weather on Sunday was perfect enough for me to wear my Asos bodycon dress. It accentuated my growing bump which has literally been growing every week. In line with my love for colors, I added a red blazer with a simple touch of jewelry. My Zara strappy sandal was just the right pair for the outfit which made it classy. I highly recommend that you get a black strappy sandal for the spring. It can be combined with a lot of outfits while accentuating the legs. I completed the look with a tribal clutch which has shades of red and black colors.

Hi everyone and I hope your week has been tremendous. I stayed home on Wednesday due to a snowstorm forecast which eventually missed us. Hubby and I stayed indoors after grabbing a light breakfast. My pregnancy has made me extremely picky in my choice of foods. I shy away from meat, and fish. Some days, I crave for mangoes as you may have noticed on my instagram feeds. Lately, I have been obsessed with a Nigerian delicacy called moin-moin (bean cake).

My food cravings aside, emerald green is emerging as one of my favorite colors...maybe because it also happens to be my birthstone.  During the week, I wore my emerald JCrew pants paired with a floral emerald blouse to work. The blouse is from the “Prabal Gurung for Target collection”.

It feels like spring is taking forever to get here so I am bringing spring colors to you. I paired the outfit with a black blazer and pumps to remind myself that it is still winter (a subtle effect on the overall look).

Polka Dots with A Statement

Hi everyone! How was your weekend? It is March already and each day brings us closer to meeting our little munchkin. I went to work on Saturday for a couple of hours and on Sunday, hubby and I went to Babies R'US to do some baby shopping. Overall, I had a pretty calm and relaxing weekend. In a couple of weeks, I will share updates and respond to questions you left on my last YouTube video.

Black & White combinations are lovely like previously worn here. For this post, I wanted to try something different with my JCrew polka dots dress. The simplicity of the dress captured my eyes including the comfort it provides to my bump. The statement necklace from JCrew adds a touch of color to the combination and I completed the look with black and gold strappy sandals from Zara. The sandals are simple and the gold details on the back gives the look a “je ne said quoi” feeling :)
