Leopard Maxi
It is Wednesday, which means that Friday is around the corner. I got back from class a couple of minutes ago. Today felt like a long day that would not end. I am hungry and ready to sleep.
I was so excited when I got home to find out that my hubby made dinner--how cute is that! Love him to pieces :)

Anyway, has anyone noticed how quickly the weather is changing? I am definitely ready for fall fashion and I have lots of ideas of things that I will be wearing. I will definitely do a post on "Fall Must Have" items; so ready for boots and chunky knits and cardigans.
If you notice in these pictures, I used the gold strap of the bag as a belt :)

Wearing H&M maxi dress and bag and Aldo shoes
What items are you looking forward to wearing this fall?

Enjoy the rest of the week!

After the ordeal

With hurricane Irene all weekend long, I spent most of my weekend indoors resting. Normally, I don't like taking naps, but I was so tired on Saturday after work that I slept for a long time. This resulted in me being wide awake all night and spending the night studying and flipping through magazines.
Late Saturday evening, our power went off. I felt like a restless kid. Having no power was not fun at all. It was so hard to sleep and I got tired of eating cereal and bread :)  When we went out to eat after the weather subsided the following day, the waiting time to get seated at the restaurant was ridiculous.

On Sunday, the weather was getting better, but still no power. I had a withdrawal from blogging and visiting some of my favorite blogs. My Power didn't return until about 5 hours ago.
Hope everyone was safe during hurricane Irene.

My prayers go out to those affected in hurricane Irene and also the family and friends of those affected during the UN bomb blast in Nigeria.

Wish you all a lovely week ahead!
Thank you all for all your tremendous support.
Big hugs & kisses

Go to College, Save Money, Be Fashionable

This is a shout-out to all of you college goers out there! In college, textbooks put a huge dent in your budget and it has a direct influence on the amount of school clothes you can buy. I’m here to tell you that there is a solution to all of this madness. Don’t buy your textbooks…RENT them!

The people over at offer everyone 40-90% off on their textbooks. You just order your textbooks online, select how long you want to keep the books, free shipping both ways, you can highlight in the books, and at the end of the semester you just send them back in a pre-paid envelope they give you. You don’t have to worry about outdated textbooks that the bookstore wouldn’t buy back. You also don’t have to worry about all of those textbooks laying around in your basement taking up space. You do have the option to purchase the textbook at the end of the semester if you really want to keep it :)

Another really cool thing about renting from is that they donate a portion of each rental to Operation Smile. This organization saves lives by performing cleft lip surgeries for children who are born to families who can't pay for it.
So you can save money AND save lives!
In addition, here is a !0% coupon code for the FIRST 10 people -->Jadorefashion10mb

This week is definitely going fast. I can't believe it is Wednesday...which means Friday is right around the corner. I am looking forward to Friday because I have a fun surprise planned for a friend. I think I better not say too much before she starts suspecting.

Lately I have been reminiscing about Christmas. I love Christmas season; the decorations and setting up the tree. I am continuously collecting ornaments. Can you believe December is just 4months away. :)

Neon light

Monday is finally here...this means my ultimate schedule just kicked in. School started today with a class on Investment Analysis. For some reason, I feel like this semester is going to be a bit less stressful compared to the previous. Hold up!... hope I am not jumping to conclusions on day one...LOL

My weekend was very calm besides working 6 hours on Saturday. I stayed indoors catching up on Real Housewives of New Jersey and some Lifetime movies. I also got to watch Tia and Tamara's show for the first time. I have been a fan since the days of "Sister, Sister".
This picture was also taken in Montego Bay behind our hotel.

Thylane Loubry Blondeau

Thylane Loubry Blondeau, a 10 year old model graces the pages of French Vogue. She is definitely beautiful with features that reminds me of Lara Stone and Brigitte Bardot; but is she too young to be modeling?

In these French Vogue photos, she is donned in heavy make-up, high-heeled shoes, and expensive jewelries. This current magazine feature has tongue waging with consigns, questioning whether the parisian 10-year-old is too young or are the pictures just "artsy and creative".

What are you thoughts?

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

How is everyone doing? This has been a busy week for me - spending about 10hours each day at work. When I get home, all I want to do is eat and sleep and occasionally, I sneak in a bit of browsing and blog hopping.

The weekend is almost here and my plan for this weekend is to get school supplies and also squeeze in some photoshoot for the blog. I can't believe the summer is almost over; but I am ready for fall and all the great styling that comes with it. ;)

Preppy Chic
I took these pictures in Montego Bay and now, I am back home to my reality - school starts in less than two weeks. I don't know if I am totally ready for school ... I need to get back to my nerdy ways.
My weekend was relaxing and fun. Friday was my friend's birthday. She decided she wanted a mini gathering for a game night with friends. It went from game night to girls' talk. I didn't get home until 4am and I had to wake up at 7am for a volunteer service the next day.  It was definitely a fun night.

This weekend, I saw three movies - Transformers , Final Destination 5, and The Help.... all great movies. 'Final Destination' will definitely keep you on your feet--loved the adrenaline rush! On the other hand, "The Help" is just too great for words--a must-see!
Aldo shoes and bag
Forever 21 skirt and H&M dress shirt
Necklace: Macy's, Forever 21 rings,  bracelet--mix from Macy's & Forever21, Michael Kors watch
Hope everyone had a lovely weekend.
Has anyone seen any of these movies? What are your thoughts?

Have a lovely week!

It's all fun and play
In my previous post, I mentioned that I was in Montego Bay for our anniversary.  Been here for couple of days, I have already abused most Jamaican dishes--my favorite is definitely curry goat with white rice and plantains. I am a self proclaimed foody! I visited the restaurant "The Natives" so much that the waitress recognized us and remembered the dishes we always ordered.

On this day, I was feeling relaxed and ready for more fun in Jamaica. The morning before hitting the town, I decided to whip up some quick breakfast. I am not a chef; but I can definitely hold my stand. :)

I will like to thank each and every one of you that sent a happy anniversary wish to us. We truly appreciate you kind and sweet comments.

Looking back...It's already One Year

On this day (08/08) , one year ago...
A recap of a beautiful day...
During our first dance...
After the ceremony...

The party just beginning...
Dancing to a mix of MC hammer, Soulja boy, Dbanj...
Ready to toss the banquet...Who is joining me next? :D

Colors and culture was on display...
For the second half of the reception, we changed into our (Nigerian) traditional attires. I danced the night away in 5 inch heels until almost 2am. I still don't know how I did it with barely 3 hours of sleep the night before. :D

Happy Anniversary baby!
Love you!

Video Recap:

Enjoy the rest of you week!
