Bows, bows, bows

Every little girl wants a bow on their hair, outfits, name it, or their belts tied like a bow. I remember as a little girl, I will always insist that my mom tie the belt of my puffy dresses into a bow. I will always make sure the bow was perfect with equal lengths :). Recently, when I noticed a lot of bows surfacing on runways and in stores, I became an excited kid loving it!
If your are looking for some feminine touch to add to your rocker style. Check out these...

Light Denim

I forgot about this dress for months now. I received it as gift last year but never wore it. Finally stumbled into it today and decided to put a twist to it with my never ending addiction to v-neck tops. Again, another reason for wearing the top was because the top part of the dress is too big--same story regarding the belt.

Am trying to post some fall items but still trying to figure out how to make clipboards. if i don't in a day or two, I will go ahead and post it as individual pictures. Anyone who can help?
:-S xoxo

Yesterday was my first jury duty. It felt kinda weird because I didn't know what to expect. It was one long boring day because I didn't get to participate in any juror activities; instead, I sat down in a room watching movies and feeling so sleepy from 8:30am to 0400pm. Such a long day--felt so tired doing nothing.

Style Watch: Zoe Kravitz

Zoe kravitz, a budding actress and daugther of rocker Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet--remember Lisa Bonet from the show "Cosby"? She looks so adorable and so fashionable. She always looks confident in her style--there nothing not to like about her and her daring outfits. Love her style!

My Country...Nigeria

Today I am inviting you all to a piece of me. Apart from being a twenty something year old fashion obessesed girl; living in a state where there is little fashion around. My life started in the continent of Africa; precisely, West Africa Nigeria--where I was born and raised before moving to America in my early teens . A lot of people that I have met don't really know much about Africa except what the media portrays: poverty, crime, diseases... to name a few. I have never watched any TV documentation that actually sheds light on the good things about Africa. I have decided to tell you about my country Nigeria. Nigeria brought one of the best-known writers, the first African Noble prize winner in Literature Wole Soyinka and Chinua Achebe know for the novel “Things Fall Apart”. Nigerian music includes different kinds of music from folk, Fuji, to hip hop. Some famous and budding artists from Nigeria are Fela Kuti, Femi Kuti, Sade Aduand (better known as Sade), Psquare, TuFace Idibia, 9ice and many more. Nigeria is also the 4th leading gas exporter to America. Here are a few pictures to enjoy

Decided to go baggy and loose by borrowing bf's shirt over men's hanes v-neck tee. I just love hanes or any white loose v-neck shirt. I stock up on it from boys or men's section in walmart--always a great buy. They are great with shorts, pants, possibly alone and layered with a long cardigan, blazer, belt, and slouchy or ankle boots.

Ready for picnic ! ! !

As promised, here is what I wore to the picnic today. I forgot to take some pictures at the park because I was so busy watching the soccer game between the ladies and the guys. I took this picture before I left the house in a hurry.
It's quiet late and am pretty exhausted and can't seem to make up my words, so I have to go and get my beauty sleep. Nite!!!

Another Weekend

I always look forward to my weekends after work days--today seem kinda nice too. I have a church picnic this afternoon; I know it starts by 12noon, but knowning me, I will not be there at that time. In fact, I doubt if anyone will be there at 12. I still haven't figured out want to wear; but I know it is going to be a simple clean outfits to prevent some bad looks especially since I didn't buy the church printed shirt. why? because it is too hot for that kind of shirt. I plan on wearing some kind of tank top. I will post the outfit tonight or tomorrow. any ideas for picnic? This was a picture from yesterday.
see u later... have a nice weekend

A Maxi day

It was so hot today, so I remembered my maxi dress. All of a sudden this evening, this heavy rain came pouring like someone was dumping a bucket of water from heaven. I guess we desperately needed the rain to cool off the humid hot air--now I was really enjoying my "maxi day". So, I decided to take a walk around the neighborhood. I sure had "a maxi day". Hope u did too ;-)

After Sunday

Better late than never. This picture is a bit overdue, but still want to share. Just love the zebra-ish tunic--it was one of those things I didn't plan on buying because I came to the mall for gifts or rather ideas for overdue gifts. It immediately became part of my closet once I tried it on; so on Sunday, I finally decided to wear it. I guess my mood that morning was screaming zebra-ish prints lol. Actually, the fit is great; you can wear it alone for night out with a scarf and leather jacket (thats another obessession), but I paired mine with tights for day.
Ooooh! I almost forgot my butterfly hair clip--a good H&M spot. Wish I took a closer picture of it, but next time.

Glastonbury fest includes different types of entertainments from rap to rock and cabarets. This years Glastonbury festivals had performers from Jay-Z, KT Tunstall, Amy winehouse, John Mayer to Neil Diamond and so many others. With Glastonbury festival, comes different styles. Dress it up like D&G
Ralph Lauren F08
House of Holland F08
D&G F08
Balmain F08

I have always loved the plaid look, it just reminds me of pre-K & Kinder garden school uniforms. Again, my grandma (RIP) always had some kind of plaid skirt; but I can't forget this plaid red jacket she had--if I could exactly crack my brain, she always wore it with this green loafers. Looking back, I believe some of my styles were influence my her.

Back to Plaids, I have noticed a lot of plaids in the Fall 08 runways, from designers like "House of Holland", "Balmain", "Ralph Lauren", and in D&G campaign.

Enjoy, Be safe
