Hi everyone! How was your Memorial Day weekend? Did you do anything special or travel?

I had an amazing weekend. Besides attending a wedding on Saturday, I finally had my party yesterday, which was awesome. I can't wait to share the pictures with you guys. You can keep up with me on Facebook or Twitter for possible sneak peeks.

Since I didn't have any celebration for my birthday or graduation, I decided to combine both celebrations together. The party took place at our place with about 25-30 friends and some uninvited guests, which was a bit annoying. Despite that, I didn't let that mess up my night. We all danced, ate and talked until 3am. I didn't go in to bed until almost 4am.

Regarding my outfit, it was made with African ankara fabric for a wedding I attended a week ago. I came up with the idea/design and my wonderful tailor made it. Usually, for most Nigerian weddings, the couple picks out a fabric and have their friends wear it as a uniform for the wedding. If you remember, I applied the same concept to my wedding here.

I have barely slept since yesterday and I also had my hair braided today, which hurts as hell; so I am heading straight to bed.

Runners' Shorts

Hello everyone! Hope you had a stress-free day!

Just finished watching American Idol and quickly started working on this new post. I am not sure if I agree with the winner Phillip; but then again, Jessica has a lot of opportunity and the "IT" factor to go far. Again, most prior winners that we have seen on American Idol seem to barely make it after the whole Idol crazy. Well, congratulations to Phillip--all the best to both!

It seems like every TV show is ending or in their season finales...from American Idol to Glee & Revenge. I still have a lot of episodes to catch up on before I watch the final episodes, so that should keep me busy until I discover more shows to watch.

On another note, I bumped into another reader today at work. I just heard someone screaming, "Excuse me" as I walked through the hallway until I finally turned around. Never in million years did I think I will meet a reader at work. Thanks Jasmine for approaching me with sweet compliments. It was a pleasure meeting you. I am always appreciative whenever I meet a reader :)

Accordion Statement

Hello beautiful people! Happy Monday/Tuesday everyone! How was your weekend?

Hope you all had a fun filled weekend. My weekend was one of the most memorable time in my life. Yes, I am officially a Masters Degree holder. If you follow me on twitter or Facebook, you will know that I was so excited and nervous on Saturday that I was awake at 5am even though I didn't have to be ready for my graduation ceremony until 8am.

My weekend was definitely a fun filled one. After my graduation ceremony and lunch with my family, I attended a friend's wedding reception, which was fun. On Sunday, I had also attended a friend's graduation dinner. There is nothing like being in the company of great friends & food. I am so excited for all my friends that graduated.

The fun weekend continues next weekend. I have another wedding again to attend. In addition, I will be celebrating my birthday plus graduation with a party on Sunday. I am so ready to dress up and dance surrounded by wonderful friends & great music.

PS: Over the weekend, I met two lovely readers. On Saturday, I met a beautiful/sexy mother of four Oyin. My mouth dropped when she told me that she has four kids--I hope to have such fab body like her after having kids. Then on Sunday, I also met Abitoye--soft spoken & sweet. Thank you to both ladies for your support and love. It was a pleasure meeting you two.

Spring Florals & Mint

Hello everyone! How was your weekend? I think I am really getting used to having some free time since school is over. Each day, I get used to not being in the library so late that I now have time to devote to other things that I have been putting aside. Last week, I assisted in a photoshoot in DC, which was fun even though it was a last minute request.

Over the weekend, I spent quality time with my mom since she was not going to be around on Mother's Day. On Sunday, I attended a bridal shower, which was fun. At the bridal shower, we played a game of unscrambling  words related to wedding, which I totally sucked in--I could barely unscramble honeymoon LOL! You will not believe what I thought some of the words were--SMH!

The next two weekends are going to be busy ones, but fun at the same time because I have my graduation on the 19th. That same day, I also have a wedding. In fact, the next two weeks, I have weddings to attend, which is exciting. I will be posting pictures of the outfit made for one of the weddings using "Ankara" (African) material.

My birthday is officially in 30mins...yayyyy! :) I Thank God for his blessings over my life and the amazing husband, family & loved ones that surround and support me...also for the love & support I receive from you guys--I am grateful :) Happy Birthday to ME!!!! :)
